Description
Image makers wanted!
The Fries Landbouwmuseum will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026 and is choosing a new course, with a focus on food and social themes, full of the future. Around major exhibitions and a lively public programme, we are looking for volunteers to make the museum visible with their images.
As a photographer, you will capture the museum's story. With an eye for detail, you will take strong photos and videos during events and capture exhibitions, the collection and everything around the museum. You will capture what visitors experience and the atmosphere of the moment. Your images will be used in our communications and show what happens here.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
You will gain practical museum experience in a small and close-knit team and have the opportunity to follow courses or training. You will work with enthusiastic colleagues in the cultural and heritage sector and come into contact with many different people. This makes for valuable collaborations, interesting contacts and a reference you can use to move forward within the sector. The photos and videos you take can be used for your portfolio. Every year, we organise a joint activity with all the volunteers. Naturally, there is an expense allowance.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
You feel involved in culture and heritage and like to actively dedicate yourself to it. You are enthusiastic, like to pick up your camera and enjoy capturing beautiful moments with your own perspective. You work with your own equipment; a professional camera is fine, but a good phone will do just as well. You can work independently and easily coordinate with colleagues when necessary. We will discuss when and how often you are available. Experience with photo editing and AI tools is a plus.
