Volunteers for the Taalkamer in Leeuwarden East
dbieb is looking for volunteers for the Taalkamer in Leeuwarden Oost for 3 hours a week. The Taalkamer is open to anyone who wants to improve their reading, writing or speaking skills in Dutch. It is a place where language development and socialising take centre stage, based on language exercises and themed discussions.
As a volunteer, you will help participants in a group setting to further develop their language skills. Where necessary, you will also provide individual support during the sessions. Together with the participants, you will discuss their needs and the topics that are of interest to them. In addition, you’ll prepare the sessions and themed discussions together with a colleague from dbieb.
The Language Club takes place every Friday from 8.30 am to 11.00 am and from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

What we’re looking for
You have strong language skills and enjoy helping people to develop further. You are trusted to work independently, whilst also enjoying working as part of a team. You enjoy building connections between people, and you have no problem interacting with people from other cultures. You are someone who enjoys listening to others, has an open attitude and likes to contribute ideas. You are happy to commit 3 hours a week on Friday mornings and/or Friday afternoons. A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required for this voluntary role.
