dbieb (Leeuwarden, Grou, Stiens, Burgum and Gytsjerk)
dbieb is a modern library with five branches in the municipalities of Leeuwarden and Tytsjerksteradiel. dbieb is the most public place in town and village where you can walk in without any threshold. For inspiration, to read, to discover, to learn or to meet people.
We are not just there for our loyal members; we are there for everyone, from 0 to 100, who wants to keep developing.
Much of what we do we are able to achieve thanks to the commitment of our volunteers. Whether it's coordinating the seed library, being a host or hostess in the front office, offering digital help with computer classes, the commitment of our volunteers is essential to provide all this to our residents. By now, over 100 volunteers already work at dbieb. Being a volunteer at dbieb is valuable for the organisation, for the volunteer himself and for society.
