Taking a nice walk or bike ride with our resident (68 years old)

Description

Going for a nice walk or a bike ride. Or light up somewhere for a cup of coffee. Our resident, a 68-year-old man with a mental disability, would like to do this together with someone.

Once a fortnight on Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm or on Friday between 10am and noon.

This gentleman has features of autism spectrum disorder. You can communicate well with him and, as a result, this gentleman is easily overrated. A clear, brief explanation understands sir best.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

If it is a good click from both sides, a volunteer agreement is drawn up and a VOG is applied for. You are insured during your volunteer work and receive a Christmas package from the organisation in December and a small gift around volunteer day.
You will also receive the newsletter for volunteers.
You are entitled to a travel allowance, if applicable.

Of course, you will first get to know each other and drop by for a cup of coffee so you can get to know each other a little. In addition, you will receive the necessary guidance from the staff on site and you will also be inducted.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

Most important is the click that must exist between the volunteer and the client. Volunteering must add value from both sides.
In addition, you are reliable and keep appointments.
