Support families/support parents wanted for children!
Description
When parents are (temporarily) overburdened by illness or another reason, it can be nice for a child to be with another family on a weekly basis. This allows a child to receive the love and attention it needs and parents are temporarily relieved. A support family offers the opportunity for a child or young person to participate in their daily family life. This can be one half-day a week or once every two weeks. This is done in consultation and depends on what the support family wants to offer and what the child needs.
Support families can be singles, families with or without children, grandparents. The important thing is that they want to open their hearts and homes and give positive attention to a child.
A VOG is offered and you receive a short preparatory training. During the pairing, both the support family and the asking family receive support from Humanitas.
