Leeuwarden Evening Marches Foundation

The Leeuwarden Evening Four Day Marches Foundation strives to organise an evening four day marches every year for the residents of the municipality of Leeuwarden. The foundation was founded in 1944 and came under the Dutch Walking Association. This was later changed to Koninklijke Wandelbond Nederland. Our organisation consists of a board of five board members, who carry out this work on a voluntary basis. In addition, we try to recruit a group of volunteers who help with handing out the starting cards, medals and traffic control during the four evenings when the walk takes place in and around Leeuwarden.
