Wanted: Buddies for ex-prisoners and people with forensic titles

Would you like to make a difference in the life of someone who needs guidance? Become a buddy and support ex-prisoners in their return to society or people with a forensic title in their guidance programme in the Province of Friesland, approximately 2 to 3 hours per week. As a volunteer, you will help with practical matters, lend a listening ear and contribute to a smoother reintegration or support process, depending on the situation. You will do this as part of the MEF project (Maatjes Ex-gedetineerden Friesland, or Buddies for Ex-Prisoners in Friesland), set up by Solidair Friesland. What will you be doing specifically? Providing support in areas such as administration, finances, loneliness & building a social network, looking for work, discovering new hobbies, etc.; Offering a listening ear; Providing support during meetings with agencies such as VNN, Probation Service, Local Council, etc.; Undertaking social activities such as sports; Responding flexibly to changing circumstances. How do you deal with feelings of regret, sadness or shame? How do you stay in touch with others?Amaryllis organises group discussions and is looking for discussion leaders. Perhaps this is something for you? As a discussion leader, you’ll lead discussions at venues where older people meet, such as a community centre, neighbourhood centre or a retirement home. You’ll do this on a voluntary basis and receive training in a special, accessible discussion method. Procedure: A brief introductory telephone conversation with Sandra Buith; Attendance at a training session (including lunch); Once you have successfully completed the training, you will lead the conversations independently. Through the UP! group discussions, we are strengthening the social fabric in the municipality of Leeuwarden by bringing residents together and thereby improving the quality of life in the villages and neighbourhoods.

Social media specialist for online channel With Rinke on the road

Since mid-2023, there has been the new YouTube programme Met Rinke Op Pad. In this programme, Rinke talks to special people with interesting stories. Conversations with locals, local sportsmen and entrepreneurs, for example. We (Rinke and William - the man behind the camera -) know no boundaries, because we pick up stories everywhere. In fact, we also know how to get Dutch celebrities in front of the camera, such as Tineke de Nooij and Hans Klok. We would like to expand our team with one or more volunteers who want to be involved in PR and communication. As communications officer, you will take care of, among other things: posting of the YouTube videos; posting of social media messages; writing matching texts. As a volunteer, you get the opportunity to set it up (by mutual agreement) the way you want and therefore your own initiative and ideas are highly appreciated. Do you enjoy uploading only YouTube videos or do you like looking at the bigger picture and want to work with a communication plan? We would love to talk to you to hear where you can complement us. Enjoy a day out together with a spontaneous, sociable man aged 43 with a mild intellectual disability. This can be at the weekend, but also a day during the week. It is important for this young man that good arrangements are made. This is done in consultation with the counsellor. He manages himself fine, but needs boundaries. To an amusement park, a fair or a funfair is where the preference lies! Other ideas are always welcome!

Bakfiets driver with an interest in money matters!

Do you enjoy being outdoors? Do you enjoy approaching people? Are you interested in money matters and would you like to volunteer to help others? Then we are looking for you! At Humanitas Thuisadministratie we recently acquired an awesome electric cargo bike. Soon we will be cycling through the municipality of Leeuwarden with our KansKar to help people with their money matters in an accessible way. In this way, we want to make our Home Administration activity better known and lower the threshold to help. What will you do? Together with another volunteer, you will set off with our brand new KansKar. You will talk to people and offer a listening ear. At the same time, you hand out cards on which people can tick which help they want. Afterwards, the coordinator contacts the resident so that they do not have to apply again.
