General information about the website
Who owns the website?
Welfare organisation Amaryllis is the owner of the website. All information about Amaryllis can be found through our website, www.amaryllisleeuwarden.nl
Can anyone put information on the website?
This is different for each component. Organisations can go through Activities and services and the job board diens offer and post vacancies. It is important that these meet the terms comply. If they do not, the item will be removed. Residents can post supply and demand at ForEach other. Again, it must meet the conditions.

How do I find volunteering that suits me?
You can search the job board or contact one of our consultants. They will help you find volunteer work that matches your interests and availability.
What if I want to volunteer but don't yet know what I like?
You can take a look at the job board to see what volunteering is on offer. Can't figure it out? Then you are welcome at our drop-in moments.
Can I also volunteer on a temporary or one-off basis?
Sure! There is a lot of volunteering that is short-term or one-off, such as helping at an event or a community initiative. Through the job board you can filter for these kinds of jobs.
Can I volunteer alongside my job or studies?
Yes. A lot of volunteering is flexible and easy to combine with work or study. You decide how much time you devote to it.
Can I volunteer with someone?
Through an organisation such as Present Foundation you can do one-off jobs with someone or a group. If you are looking for structural volunteering, you can ask the organisation if they can also use two people to do the work.

What does volunteering benefit me personally?
You develop new skills, meet people, expand your network and do something good for someone else. Many volunteers say it gives them more energy and satisfaction.
Is there room to develop myself or learn something?
Absolutely. Volunteering is a great way to gain new experiences, develop competences or discover what you like.
Will I get guidance or support as a volunteer?
Yes. Organisations often provide a good introduction and a point of contact. You can also attend training courses through, for example, the Volunteer Academy.
What if volunteering doesn't suit me after all?
Then you can quit or try something else. Just indicate this to the organisation or your contact person and finalise it properly together. You can then use the job board check out new volunteering opportunities or come to one of our walk-in moments.
Fees and conditions
Do you get compensation when you volunteer?
Usually, volunteering is unpaid. Sometimes you get a small expense allowance, such as travel expenses or a thank-you gift. Some organisations give a volunteer allowance. Can I volunteer if I have benefits?
It is usually allowed. If in doubt, it is best to contact the UWV or Municipality of Leeuwarden.
Am I insured while volunteering?
The municipality of Leeuwarden has taken out a collective volunteer insurance for volunteers who work in organised groups. More information on this insurance can be found here.
Do I also have to sign a contract?

How much time should I be available for volunteering?
This is largely up to you. There is volunteering for one-off, weekly or flexible. More is often possible than you think.

You can easily post them via this page. The vacancy is online immediately. It is still checked whether it meets the conditions. If there are any questions about the vacancy or it does not fit, you will be contacted.

What are the conditions for posting a vacancy?

How long does a vacancy stay online?
The vacancy will remain for 1 year if the organisation itself makes no changes. After one year, the organisation's contact person is notified whether the vacancy should be extended. If there is no response, it is automatically removed from the website.
What does it cost to post a vacancy?
Posting a vacancy is free of charge.
Who visits the job board?
Our job board attracts a wide audience: from schoolchildren to pensioners, people who want to help occasionally and those who want to get involved for a longer period of time.

When can I start recruiting volunteers?
Before you start recruiting volunteers, it is important to have a clear idea of what the organisation wants with volunteers and what this will look like in supervision etc. A volunteer policy is a handy guideline for this.

Who can use the activities and services?
This offer is for anyone who would like to participate in an activity or use a low-threshold service. Conditions of participation may vary from one activity or service to another. You can check this at the specific service or activity.
How can I register for an activity or service?
This differs per offer. You can check this at the specific offer.
What does participating in the offer cost?
This varies for each offer. In principle, the offer should not cost more than 5,- per time and not be comparable to commercial prices.

How can I post an activity or service?
It is an important that you first create an organisation account and then you can link your offer there. Here you can see if your organisation already has an account. Via this link you can add the offer and possibly the organisation. If the organisation is already there then you can log in. Are the details not known to you? Then you can contact us here.

Getting started with supply or demand
How can I post an enquiry or offer?
To ask a question or offer help, you must first here create an account. Then you can easily post your question or offer via our platform. Would you like to respond to a message? Then you do not need an account, you can do this directly via the form under the question or offer
What kind of demand or offer may I post?
This platform is intended for small-scale, voluntary aid. For example, you can ask for:
- Help with shopping or chores
- Dog walking
- Arrange transport
- Companionship or a chat
- A trip to the doctor or shop
You can also offer this. It is a low-threshold way to support each other in the neighbourhood. No remuneration should be involved. Except an expense allowance for petrol, for example.
Responsibilities and conditions
Are there any costs involved?
No. This platform is for voluntary help. No payments may be requested for the help itself.
Exception: If there are expenses, such as petrol costs for transport or materials for a job, you can claim these costs back, but always in consultation and with a clear agreement beforehand.
How do I know if my offer is suitable for the website?
The question or offer must meet the purpose of this website: to provide support to residents in a voluntary and positive way. Offer or demand that does not meet the terms satisfies will be removed. If in doubt about item or offer, you may send an email to samenleeuwarden@amaryllisleeuwarden.nl.
Who is responsible for establishing contact between residents and agreements made between residents?
Everyone who signs up on the website is not checked. Only whether the request or offer is appropriate is checked. The residents themselves are then also responsible for the resulting contact.

How can I safely respond to a message?
You can respond to an enquiry or offer by leaving your contact details in the response form. We recommend not sharing sensitive information. The person who posted the message will contact you. It is important that you yourself are able to weigh up whether to trust them or not.
How long will my post stay online?
You can edit or delete your post at any time. If you do not take action yourself, you will be notified by e-mail. A question remains visible on the website for three months and an offer remains visible for six months. After this period, you will receive a reminder to renew or remove your message.
