First aid education

During this briefing, they will be told about the principles of First Aid for Accidents. 
As a volunteer, you might encounter unexpected events while volunteering. For example, someone faints, gets injured or has a heart attack. How do you spot these events and provide first aid before professional help arrives? 

This briefing will include:

  • burns
  • febrile convulsion
  • insect bites / animal bites and scratches
  • tick bite (Lyme disease)
  • wound treatment
  • foreign bodies (choking/ suffocation)
  • circulatory arrest (resuscitation)

In addition, topics that you as a participant would like answers to can also be covered.
