Day walk-in

Social Bilgaard.

On Monday and Wednesday afternoons, there is a day-walk-in in Bilgaard. This is an initiative of community centre Bilgaard, Palet, Wijkteam Noord and the municipality. The day-walk-in is for people who might otherwise enter day care. Now they have a place here in Bilgaard to spend the afternoon. Generally, between five and 10 people come.

Activities.

Such an afternoon mainly consists of gaining social contacts with other people. We think it is important that this is non-committal and that people take their own initiatives as much as possible; show what they need. During this afternoon, we do fun activities with the people who are there. What we do depends on what the guests themselves feel like doing. For example:

• Painting
• Shuffleboard
• Watching cabaret
