Along in the cycle rickshaw
Stichting Fietsen Alle Jaren Fryslân offers people who are no longer mobile a free ride in the rickshaw. We cycle, for example, with elderly people who still live at home and with clients of residential facilities and day care centres. Passengers love getting outside again and going somewhere they haven't been for a long time.

We are not a taxi service - We make the ride together.

Our rickshaws
We cycle in Fryslân with rickshaws that have low boarding so passengers can easily take a seat. As a passenger, you don't have to ride the bike rickshaw, which has electric pedal assistance. There is room for two passengers in the bike. You can always bring someone along for fun and that can also be a younger person who is still fully mobile. And as a passenger, you get to choose where you want to go with the rickshaw. Taking a break along the way with a cup of coffee is also possible.

Where we cycle
We cycle mainly from the neighbourhood districts where we board. We often cycle for 1-1.5 hours. You name it and we cycle there with you. On request and by agreement, we also cycle to other places or neighbourhoods of the pitch, if time and battery allow.

International movement
Foundation Cycling All Years Fryslân is part of the Copenhagen-based international movement Cykling Uden Alder. Leeuwarden was the first city in Fryslân where we started in 2016. We hope to start a rickshaw project in more places, focusing on meeting, simplicity and connection. Foundation Cycling All Years Fryslân Cycling All Years Fryslân is an independent non-profit foundation. The foundation consists of a group of volunteers who drive the rickshaw and enjoy taking less mobile people for a ride.
