Following the social approach to dementia, the Odensehuis offers support to people with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and NAH (non-congenital brain injury) and their informal carers. It focuses on the person and his/her environment, not the disease. Professionals and volunteers jointly offer activities within an open walk-in function, complemented by activities within basic and additional support. The place may be particularly suitable for new registrations within this target group, where the support has a different character than in the current situation. This facility is a collaboration between the Odensehuis, Amaryllis and Windkracht058. This provides a place for participants with progressive cognitive impairment that is low-threshold where possible, but can scale up to more support where needed.
