Tuesday morning reading group

Reading and sharing experiences in Bilgaard.

We are a mixed group of enthusiastic men and women who discuss a literary work several times a year. This involves a book that one of the members has already read. Anyone can bring in titles. Together, we then decide what the reading list will be. About those books we share our experiences.

Bilgaard reading group programme.

9:30 to 9:45 am: entry; usually in the room to the left of the entrance where cosy paintings by students hang, tables and chairs are ready in a generous square.
9:45 to 10:00 am: coffee/tea with a biscuit, a volunteer from the community centre brings us this.
10:00 am: one of the group gives a short introduction about the book and/or the author/writer. We take turns doing this. After this, we do a discussion mode in which everyone puts forward their findings about the book. After a short break, we engage in conversation. These are often very animated, engaging conversations in which everyone actively participates.
