Leeuwarden municipality accessibility working group

We have been active for many years to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. We do this both in the city and in the villages. We are there for and by people with disabilities

When it comes to accessibility, we are the independent advisory partner for people with disabilities, entrepreneurs, cultural institutions and civil society organisations.

Why is accessibility important? It is important that the living environment is accessible, accessible and usable for everyone. This should include accessibility. This applies to the physical, social and digital (living) environment. Accessibility increases independence, equality and the way we treat each other. It is important that everywhere in society people realise how important accessibility is to be able to participate.
