Elderly club the Remise, for seniors with spirit
Information about this organisation
What is the society Remise?
The society Remise is for seniors with spunk, run entirely by peers.
Why the society Remise?
A place where people enjoy contact, are challenged with meaningful activities and where nothing has to be done but anything goes.
The work of the Remise is important because of the over-65s who mostly live independently and who can sometimes be lonely. So what are the activities?
- Walk-in coffee 4 times a week, in the morning;
- once a month a Soos with a cultural touch (think lecture, music, treats, film and drinks)
- various activities:
- -a painting club, chair yoga, a walking group,
- together to the Fries Museum,
- Going to the movies together at the Film House,
- explanations on computer use, crafts, a book club, Handyman shop etc.
Participants of the foundation pay a contribution per month. The foundation has no profit motive. All volunteers do their work without payment. Our fixed expenses are: a friendly rent; insurance, internet, cleaning common areas
