On Friday 11 October, the foyer of the Harmonie filled up with people wanting to know more about volunteering. They could visit some 70 organisations that enthusiastically told about their work and why it is so much fun to volunteer.

For people who were not sure what volunteering would suit them, there was the test street, which was very well attended. Students from Firda had set up a real First Mates Café where visitors could meet a potential buddy to do fun things together. The day ended with the conclusion of 100 days of volunteering in the municipality of Leeuwarden, during which volunteers had been put in the limelight in various ways.
