Board member Funds

Description

Everyone should be able to be themselves. That is what COC Friesland has been working for for decades. Whether it is about young people being educated at school, older people finding a safe meeting place or standing up for equal rights: together we build a mienskip in which LGBTQIA+ people can participate fully and visibly.

That work requires not only passion and commitment, but also a solid financial base. This is why we are looking for a General Board member with the funds portfolio: someone who will help find the resources with which the association can achieve its goals.

What will you do?
As a board member of funds, you are the financial driving force behind our projects and initiatives.

  • You will be involved in fundraising with the Oranje Fund, Blue Fund, Bob Angelo Fund and the Iepen Mienskipsfûns, among others.
  • You will write and submit grant applications and ensure clear and careful accountability.
  • You will work closely with the treasurer and the office manager to keep COC Friesland financially strong and future-proof.
  • You will think on the board about the direction and development of the association.

Who are we looking for?

  • You feel connected to our mission and have strong affinity with the LGBTQA+ community.
  • You have fundraising experience or the drive to learn this.
  • You enjoy giving financial advice.
  • You are meticulous and take transparency for granted.
  • You are someone who gets energy from working together, but also takes initiative.
  • Experience in project-based work is an advantage.

Interested?
Are you ready to use your knowledge and energy for an inclusive future? Send your motivation and CV to voorzitter@cocfriesland.nl. For more information, please contact Jesse David Marinus (treasurer) at penningmeester@cocfriesland.nl

  • The position is unpaid but offers great satisfaction due to the impact you make and the valuable collaboration with others.
