Care volunteer Hospice
Description
As a care volunteer, you will be responsible for the care of our (maximum) 6 residents together with professional care.
Between 07:00 and 23:00, 5 care shifts are available. In the morning, you always work with 2 volunteers and one nurse. After 1pm, as a volunteer you are alone with the professional caregiver.
Besides caring for our residents, you will also be responsible for other duties such as letting visitors in, doing laundry and keeping the communal areas tidy.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
For new volunteers, we provide a two-day induction training. You will also be guided by a mentor and we organise regular theme and training meetings.
Once you work independently, you can schedule yourself at your convenience.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
We think it is important to be able to adapt to the situation of the guest and their environment.
It is also important that you can work well together and we ask for a (minimum) availability of 2 shifts per month.
Experience in healthcare is not necessarily necessary.
