Cooking enthusiast for cooking initiative in Stiens

In Stiens, this is a cooking initiative for and by residents. For the cooking team, we are looking for a cooking enthusiast/cook to join us.

With own responsibility and also strength together, once every two weeks we provide a 3-course dinner for residents of Stiens and surroundings. The group we cook for is alternately 8-20 people (incl. volunteers).

We now have two cooks who alternate with each other. If a third cook joins us, it means that you will serve dinner once every three weeks. In case of illness or absence of your colleague cooks, it might be necessary to fill in at times, all in consultation.

We start cooking at 3pm, often with a volunteer helping with cutting. In between, we have a cup of coffee or tea and at 4pm the hostess arrives to set the table and welcome guests around 5.30pm. Dinner is served at 6pm, after which everything is cleaned up and washed, with the other cooks and the hostess helping out.

Working together in a team where we can build on each other and there is a lot of laughter. Cosy activity much appreciated by many residents. The cook can of course join us for dinner at a reduced rate of €3 (3-course meal)

We are looking for someone who enjoys healthy cooking without packets and sachets.
