Enthusiastic coordinator wanted for City Canteen (once a month)

The Stadskantine hosts several restaurant evenings every month in various Leeuwarden neighbourhoods. For €8.00, guests get a three-course meal and lots of conviviality. Some people can get a so-called delayed meal for free if they come through the welfare organisation Amaryllis.

Connecting people through good food is the main goal of the City Canteen. Many friendships have already been formed at the Stammtisch. The evenings are open to everyone, and we do our utmost to be a nice place for all guests. Each restaurant has a different team of volunteers. For the team for the Achter de Hoven restaurant (in community centre 't Knooppunt), we are looking for a coordinator to take on the following tasks:
- Sending invitations by e-mail
- Manage Facebook expressions for this restaurant (Facebook message and event at a time)
- Put up new posters in the community centre 't Knooppunt every month

- Managing registration and deregistration
- Making table arrangements and passing them on to volunteer team
- Send other updates to volunteer team

- Task allocation
- Welcoming guests

- Arranging joint evaluation and taking actions on it

- Helping hands such as washing and ironing tablecloths and aprons, liaison for community centre, checking and replenishing stock etc.

It is important to us that you enjoy yourself and take responsibility & initiative. You will work with a diverse team of volunteers, so good social skills are important.
