"Do you have a moment for me? Make some time for me"

Description

For a 75-year-old resident of Greunshiem who is a big Frans Bauer fan, we are looking for a buddy who wants to do fun things with him on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Sir has a mild to moderate intellectual disability and poor eyesight. He is a cheerful man with humour who loves good food and gets very happy listening to music. He also likes going for walks, painting or shopping together and enjoys playing games.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

After the first meeting, you have another cup of coffee together and then, if there is a good click from both sides, a VOG is applied for and a volunteer agreement is drawn up.
You will then be insured during your voluntary work and will also receive a Christmas package, a small gift on Care Day and on Volunteer Day. You will also receive the volunteer newsletter and, if applicable, you will be entitled to a travel allowance.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

As Mr has diabetes, the preference is for a buddy who is knowledgeable about this, recognises the signs. As you will sometimes go out together, a driving licence may be useful.
Furthermore, we consider a mutual click important and that you are reliable and honour agreements made.
