Oorizon seeks volunteers for:

Monday to Friday   

Who want to transport clients from home to the activity centre in Leeuwarden and back. 

 In the morning between 08.15/09.00 and in the afternoon between 13.30 and 15.30. 

We have routes from:  

• • Lollum, Harlingen, Franeker - Leeuwarden
    

• • Kollumerzwaag - Leeuwarden 

• • Lollum, Blauhus - Leeuwarden 

• • Sneek - Leeuwarden

Use of a service car or if you drive your own car an allowance of €0.35 per km.

In addition, you are invited to many activities at Oorizon, a Christmas package at Christmas, an appreciation evening is organised once a year and you can participate in gesture learning.

Because it involves deaf and hard-of-hearing clients, this will be addressed in advance and there will be a meeting once or twice a year with the group of volunteers involved in Oorizon.

The clients transported are older deaf and hard of hearing people, a walking aid is used by some.

During communication, it is important to take the client into account by talking to them calmly, looking the person straight in the eye and being understanding if the clients do not understand and, if necessary, looking for a solution together.

In addition, you are asked to be helpful and go about this at the clients' pace.
