Support Day Care Dementia At Young Age
Description
Do you enjoy having coffee with the participants, starting a conversation and then going for a walk or another activity like painting, woodworking or a game? Then we are looking for you! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for our young-onset dementia day care centre who would like to work with the counsellors to make the day more meaningful. The participants are aged between 55 and 75.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
'-A meaningful and valued leisure activity, gaining new contacts and an opportunity to gain experience with this target group.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- Be available at least once a week for half a day.
- You are motivated and have an affinity with the target group.
- Possess communication skills.
-Be able to speak and understand Dutch.
- Being able to understand Frisian. (Not absolutely necessary)
