Green lovers

Do you love nature or have green fingers? Does working outdoors and building an edible landscape make you happy? Are you familiar with Permaculture or would you like to know more about it?

Then we are looking for you!

As a permaculture centre, with a food forest in growth and edible landscape, there is plenty to do in green here. In a cosy team, you can contribute in your own way, a bit quieter with small chores, or get active shovelling and dragging (then you won't need a gym!) - you are welcome here!

Duties include:
Creating and maintaining the edible landscape, food forest, kitchen garden and greenhouse;
Sowing, planting, weeding, fertilising, cutting, harvesting, composting;
Pruning, sawing, rilling, shovelling, etc.

Permaculture Friesland Foundation is Leeuwarden's cosiest volunteer organisation in green. We have 2 locations: Oerfloed and Frijlan. A place where you can be yourself and are seen for your qualities. We start the day with coffee, tea and a chat. Then we get to work. If you can start later, that's no problem at all. It is important to us that the work suits you and that you can do what you are good at. Do you want to learn things? You can do that too! We teach you more about permaculture on the job and offer internal workshops and training courses. Several times a year, we organise a fun activity and, as a volunteer, you can use the kitchenette! In the coming years, we will work towards a volunteer allowance.
