Gardeners and women wanted!
Description
For our friendly and active Workshop, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for garden maintenance.
With a nice group of volunteers, we maintain the gardens of residents from the municipality of Leeuwarden, who have no budget and/or network and are physically unable to do it themselves.
Around 8.45 am, we will gather at the Workshop on Ouddeelstraat and then set off in two vans to the various gardens.
Around 3pm, the work ended again.
Working days are from Monday to Thursday and it will be agreed with you which day or days you want to work.
You do not need to have much knowledge of garden maintenance, we will be happy to teach you. Garden maintenance takes place from March to November. (Of course, this depends on the weather)
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
- You will join an enthusiastic team of volunteers.
- You commit yourself to a target group who are very grateful for the work you do for them, allowing them to enjoy their garden again.
- Cosy no-obligation volunteer meetings are organised regularly.
- Lunch is provided daily.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- We ask that you are up for it and on you.
- If you have a driving licence, that is a nice touch, but not compulsory.
- Clients from the day care centre can also join the trip.
- It would be nice if you have an affinity with this group and can encourage and motivate them for work.
