Handy handymen wanted, with the heart in the right place!

Description

The Present Leeuwarden Foundation helps Leeuwardeners. The Frisian capital is home to many people who would like to help others. Only where do all those people who need help live? Stichting Present Leeuwarden knows, thanks to its contact with Social Organisations in the city. Present Leeuwarden acts as a broker between people who like to help and people who need a little help for whatever reason. In doing so, we try to make the city even more liveable than it already is. Because what could be nicer than helping each other. Strong together! Present Leeuwarden helps with this. The deployment of flexworkers, our regular volunteers, is one of the ways in which Stichting Present helps. Flexworkers are deployed for jobs in people's homes. Requests for help come in to Stichting Present via a social organisation. The person requesting help must meet a number of criteria, these are: insufficient social network, poor health (psychological and/or physical) and insufficient means (to hire someone, if necessary). As a flex worker, you can be deployed for various practical tasks. Here you can think of painting, wallpapering, laying laminate, garden work, etc.. You can indicate what kind of jobs you want to do. If you do not have much experience in something, no problem, because you will always work together with other flexworkers.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

Do you like helping other people and do you enjoy doing practical jobs?

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

At Stichting Present, we think respect and helping someone without prejudice is very important. We also ask this attitude from our volunteers.
