Description
As a volunteer in the Odensehuis, a nice task awaits you as a hostess/host, the main aim of which is for people with dementia to stay among people. Conviviality, attention to each other, an activity (if the need arises), eating together and, above all, letting people have their dignity and interact with each other in a normal adult manner. That is where our strength lies.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
A nice working atmosphere, where there is room for your own input. Appreciation and sociability are highly valued. Course dealing with people with dementia, a volunteer contract.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
Empathy, flexibility and own initiative are very appealing to us. We approach visitors in a mature, respectful manner. We are very keen to teach you exactly what pleasant manners for people with dementia entail and see that you are teachable. We learn from our guests every day and we put that into practice right away.
