Language buddy and/or language volunteer
Description
COA stands for Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers. COA is responsible for receiving asylum seekers and guiding them towards a future in the Netherlands or abroad. Language is of course indispensable for this! That is why we organise a Language Café every week on Thursday afternoons at the AZC in Sint Annaparochie. With a team of volunteers and two experienced language teachers, we receive between 20 and 40 residents each week to chat and practice the language. The Language Café is low-threshold and sociable; it is open to everyone (18+). The work is dynamic, the composition of the group changes every week and you get to know all kinds of cultures. Every week there is a new topic on the table, with level-appropriate material developed and provided by the teachers. It is up to you to get to work with the residents, make the connection and take them on a journey through the Dutch language and culture, but above all have fun. Does this appeal to you? Then get in touch with us!
