Neighbourhood garden volunteer
Description
Last year, the residents of the Zeeheldenbuurt drew up a design for a new community garden on the site of the former boxing school on Vijverstraat. This year, we are laying out the garden. Quite a lot has already been realised, but there are still pergolas, shell paths, hedges, herb gardens, berry bushes, compost bin and a labyrinth to be constructed. Help with weeding or sowing flowers is also welcome.
We work in the garden on Friday mornings anyway , but sometimes we work every morning for a week or a whole Saturday to finish a job
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
A lot of satisfaction , because it will be a very nice neighbourhood garden. Lots of fun with coffee and lunch together.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
It's nice if you work along from time to time . You can also build it up as you cope. If we have your phone number we can let you know when there is another work morning . There is always someone in charge to decide what can be done that day
