Audience member (attendant), host/hostess

Do you have an affinity for public work and are you looking for challenging volunteer work? We are looking for enthusiastic and service-oriented public employees for our leading model railway museum in Sneek. As a public employee, you will be deployed as an attendant. Your primary goal is to make visitors feel more than welcome. You act as the museum's calling card. As an attendant, you will: - receive and guide visitors in the museum, give guided tours - provide information to visitors in the museum - ensure that all trains continue to run on the tracks, take care of minor malfunctions - assist with museum activities and events, group visits, etc. - assist with simple catering activities at museum activities, sell items from our shop and display case - assist the museum attendant with his or her work in the absence of the desk clerk or during busy periods. In this job, you have direct and frequent contact with visitors. You are good at dealing with people. Managing hospitality well is important for our museum. The number of hours is negotiable, but you are available for at least part of the day (morning or afternoon) per week.
