PR and communications officer (Board member)

Do you love everything to do with content and social media? And do you enjoy reaching people through good PR? And are you also looking for a unique volunteer position? Then the Grutterswinkel offers you beautiful and suitable volunteer work. De Grutterswinkel is an authentic grocery shop.

"In the good old days, supermarkets were small, cosy grocery stores where the cash register actually rang and groceries passed over the counter in paper cone bags. In the heart of Leeuwarden, such an authentic grocery shop still exists, housed in a seventeenth-century building. From Tuesday to Sunday, the Grutterswinkel comes back to life, with hostesses/gentlemen walking around to welcome the many visitors. Visitors can have a look around the Grutterswinkel, buy products from the old days and enjoy a piece of orange cake and/or real Fryske Dúmkes."

They are looking for reinforcement for the board who wants to take responsibility for communication and PR policy and its implementation. Tasks covered include:

• Annual drafting of an active communication and PR policy
• Maintaining contacts with traditional media
• Setting up and expanding activities on social media
• Participating in board meetings

Working hours are by mutual agreement. As a communications officer, you will join the board.

The Grutter Shop offers a friendly and unique working environment with motivated fellow volunteers. In December, there is a cosy end-of-year meeting and of course you get a Christmas package. In addition, you are insured for liability during your voluntary work.

You have a lot of freedom in carrying out your work and on what days/times you do it.

You have good social skills both verbally and in writing and know your way around creating appropriate PR campaigns for the Grutter Shop.
