Will you come and lead the shuffle group?
Description
Every Thursday morning from 10.00 to 11.15, there is a shuffleboard morning for the residents of residential care centre the Hofwijck.
You will join another volunteer in guiding this.
What you will do is:
- Getting the shuffleboards ready
- Preparing coffee/tea cups
- Serving coffee and tea
- Join in socially if the group allows it
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
There is a friendly working atmosphere, you get an annual Christmas package and a volunteer dinner is offered every year.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
What is important to us is that you:
- Be able to deal well with the target group of elderly people and actually enjoy doing so
- Can explain the rules of the game of shuffleboard. This will be explained to you before you start
- Be available on Thursday mornings and we can also rely on you being there
- Speaks the Dutch language well, as residents are not always able to hear well.
