Supervisor(s) for LGBTQ+ youth group Sneek - COC Friesland

COC Friesland is looking for group facilitators for a new meeting place for LGBTQ+ youth in Sneek!

• Together with other supervisors, you will organise activities such as watching a film together, theme afternoons, or visiting an event together such as the Leeuwarder pride. You will work together with the coordinator of Jong & Out and Expreszo. He or she helps set up the group, is the contact for questions and shares the responsibility;
• Creating a safe environment during activities;
• Answering any questions (from the target group itself) or questions of a substantive nature (and where this is not possible: referral to other organisations).

• Are someone who has an affinity with this target group and has experience working with young people;
• Bursting with energy to put your creativity into organising the meetings;
• Are approachable and use clear and simple language;
• Can provide structure within a group;
• Maintains balance between safe proximity and guarding appropriate distance;
• Have sense and time to commit 8 hours a month to this wonderful group;
• Have a lot of desire to get involved in a beautiful way for the LGBTQ+ community in Sneek and the surrounding area!

• Volunteer outings at least twice a year;
