About Foundation Committee 30 June - 1 July Fryslân

We are a young foundation committed to an inclusive and engaged society. Our aim is to promote knowledge and awareness of the transatlantic slavery past and its repercussions within the Frisian community. We provide a platform for dialogue and organise various cultural and heritage activities, with a special focus on the commemoration of Dutch Trans-Atlantic slavery and the abolition celebration on 1 July.

To strengthen the (governance) team, we are looking for a colleague who recognises the Committee's aspirations and objectives.

Duties and responsibilities

As Treasurer of Committee 30 June 1 July Fryslân, you are responsible for preparing the (multi-)annual budget and financial statements. In addition, you may contribute ideas on new initiatives and activities.

Job requirements

• You have a broad cultural interest and are aware of social and political relations
• You have knowledge of financial administration
• You have a good command of the Dutch language
• You are available for a minimum of 8-12 hours per month
• Experience in administrative positions and knowledge of fundraising is a plus

Our team and working method

With you on board, the board consists of four members who work closely with the project leader and communications officer. Together we form a small, diverse and multidisciplinary team that strengthens each other within an open and pleasant cooperation. The board works unpaid, but expenses may be reimbursed.
