Description

Sometimes you walk by yourself after
thinking about anything and everything
what. Then it can be nice to
agree with peers of
thoughts. How do
you deal with feelings of regret,
sadness or shame? How do
your contact with others?

Amaryllis will soon go
group discussions for the elderly
organising and is looking for
discussion leaders. Perhaps it is something
for you? As moderator, you conduct
talks at locations where elderly
meet each other, such as the community centre,
community centre or a senior citizens' flat.
You do this as a volunteer and get a
training to create a special and accessible
conversation methodology to be used.

Procedure:
- short telephone interview with
Sandra Buith;
- participation in training on Monday 27 October
From 10am-4pm (with lunch);
- after successfully completing the training you will
 Lead the talks independently.

You will become a volunteer at Amaryllis. Amaryllis is the
organisation for social work and welfare in the municipality
Leeuwarden. They are there for all residents and help them
to participate, get by and do something for
each other in the villages and neighbourhoods. With the UP!
group discussions we strengthen the social base in the
Leeuwarden municipality strengthen by bringing residents together
bring and thus improve the liveability in the villages and
improve neighbourhoods.


What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

- (digital) training in the methodology;
- personal guidance, peer review and feedback;
- inspiration and a network of fellow discussion leaders;
- flexible deployment.

- you can listen well, without judging or coaching;
- you are friendly and have an open and neutral
attitude;
- you can manage the conversation;
- you bring energy and calm to the group;
- You are deployable once every fortnight.


Are you someone who:
- understands what it is to get older;
- himself is 60-plus;
- is interested and actively asks questions;
- positive in life;
- gets on well with elderly people;
- likes the idea of using an existing methodology to
work;
- wants to be part of a national movement that
elderly to share their stories;
- itself knows or knows how to find groups of elderly people;
- enjoy organising meetings?
