OV-expert Rover Friesland

Are you interested in public transport in your region and would you like to increase your knowledge in this area? For regional departments of Rover, we are looking for a volunteer OV Expertise! Within the department, you are active in keeping an eye on the interests of travellers at regional level. You review new plans from transport operators and consult with the parties involved. You also represent Rover in the regional consultation platforms (Rocovs), where legal advice is given on transport plans and change proposals.

What exactly are you going to do?

• You think up improvement opportunities for ov in your own region
• You keep an eye on what transport companies and local public transport authorities are planning and keep track of the playing field
• You represent Rover in the Rocov with conviction and tact
• You actively contribute to board or liaison meetings and help organise activities

What qualities and characteristics do you bring to this?

• Having substantive and up-to-date OV knowledge (also possible with proper training)
• Willingness to meet regularly
• Able to read lengthy and sometimes complex documents such as opinion requests and policy papers
• Well able to propagate Rover's opinion and vision
