Coordinator wanted at Slieker Film

Who we are:
Slieker Film in Leeuwarden is the film theatre in Friesland, showing films that matter 7 days a week in 3 beautiful movie theatres in the Fries Museum. We are a premiere theatre where our focus is mainly on art and culturally and socially important films.

In addition to regular screenings, Slieker is increasingly developing special performances, featuring guest speakers, discussions and courses on specific topics. We work hard to offer increasingly professional services to our visitors.

Who are we looking for:
Slieker screens films every evening and six afternoons a week. These screenings are supervised entirely by volunteers. A coordinator is present at each screening who, together with the other volunteers, ensures that everything runs like clockwork. Our aim is to give every visitor a warm welcome and an unforgettable film screening. As coordinator, you open the film theatre and are the direct point of contact for your fellow volunteers.

You are ultimately responsible for ticket sales, take care of the catering and cooperation with the Fries Museum and you ensure a good transfer to the next coordinator. Besides shifts, you will regularly consult with your fellow coordinators and the overall volunteer coordinator.

• Willingness to be available for a minimum of three part-days a month, including at least 1 Friday or Saturday afternoon or evening

• Stress resistance
• Taking short online course IVA (responsible alcohol serving instruction)
• FAFS certificate or willingness to obtain one
