Working in the greenery of Achter de Hoven

Description

Working in green.

In the Achter de Hoven neighbourhood, a group of volunteers regularly maintains the neighbourhood's green spaces. Under the name the Court Gardens, many edible plants and trees have been planted. About once a month, we set to work maintaining these. Think of weeding and maintaining our children's picking garden, red berry bushes, blackberry wall, strawberry spiral, herb boxes, fruit trees, etc. All kinds of work occur.

People from outside the district also help out so you don't have to live in the district to volunteer for us. You don't have to have any knowledge or experience. If you have a good idea, feel free to suggest it to us. Above all, we keep it cosy. Everyone is welcome, including you. If you want to know more, mail to dehoftuinen.leeuwarden@gmail.com or call: 06-1087 9455. We'll tell you more then. Nice if you come.

What does the organisation offer the volunteer?

We offer you fun and useful work outside in green spaces. We have work for people who know nothing about green space work. But if you have experience in something, you are also welcome.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?

That you think it would be fun to work together in greenery.
