Amber is looking for a buddy
Description
Amber moved into our residential centre in January and has found her niche with us. She just misses some sociability. Her own family does not live nearby, which makes it difficult for her to visit regularly. Amber would enjoy having someone to go outside with her. Going outside alone is exciting for her because she is in a wheelchair. She can manage just fine, but the idea of her chair not cooperating once outside when she is alone makes her not do it very often. Besides, walking together is of course much cozier. Amber also really likes gaming and she would also like to do this together with someone.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
As a volunteer with us, you get a unique friendship from which you get a lot of sociability and satisfaction. It won't be long before you don't even see yourself as a volunteer any more, but just as a friend who comes to visit. And do you have to incur some expenses to make your visits possible? Then we will take care of those.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
Actually, all we ask is a little bit of your time. Knowledge and experience with care and our target group is not necessary. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
