Hostess/host

Become part of our team as a volunteer at our village hall! We are looking for enthusiastic people who want to contribute to the liveability of our community. As a volunteer, you will be involved in organising activities and events, provide support with administrative tasks, and be part of a friendly and motivated group of people. No experience is required, just an open attitude and willingness to learn. Join our team now and help us make our community even better!

So what are you going to do?
You are ónly our business card for our village hall. You welcome our guests and provide them with a cup of coffee or tea (whatever the guests want). The size of groups varies from a small group of 5-10 people for a meeting to a gathering of 40 people. There are also meetings where soft drinks, beer and wine are sold to the guests, this is then your job.

Usually you do this alone but at larger gatherings you do this together with another hostess/host.

Another task is at the end of the meeting or gathering, to clean up and put everything in the dishwasher, wipe down tables and check toilets.
In consultation with the planner, tables and chairs may need to be arranged in the room.
In addition, we ask you to contribute to improving our services.

At least once a year, there is a get-together with often a bite to eat for all volunteers.

You can take a social hygiene course at the expense of MFC It Kattehûs, if you do not already have one.

You live in Jirnsum or in the immediate vicinity of Jirnsum or you have specific ties to Jirnsum.
