Description
Enjoying dealing with numbers is paramount in this position. You will be responsible for monitoring and progressing financial matters within the Foundation. Affinity in palliative terminal care is an advantage, but absolutely not a requirement.
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
The approximately 100 volunteers of VPTZ Noordwest Friesland are ready by "being there". In doing so, they offer support to the dying and their loved ones. They do this socially, physically, mentally and spiritually. In doing so, they work alongside professional help at the Hospice in Leeuwarden or at people's homes. The foundation has a five-member voluntary board.
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- Keeping financial records, including paying out expense/travel expense claims
- Preparation of annual accounts and budget
- Applying for a grant from the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport once a year
- Liaise with the accounting firm that handles payroll to pay salaries, taxes, etc. in a timely manner
- Point of contact for insurance

- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Good communication skills
- High level of integrity and ethical conduct
