About Amivedi
Since 1933, Stichting Amivedi has been the organisation in the Netherlands dedicated to caring for
missing and found pets. Together with 125 volunteers, we facilitate the registration of these animals so that pet owners can quickly find their beloved four-legged friends again. We are an interestingvolunteer organisation with a unique culture and a strong focus on cooperation and commitment between people and animals.
The function

Responsibilities
- Leading board meetings and ensuring proper
division of labour within the board. - Develop vision and initiate specific actions together with the
- Anticipating questions, needs and developments inside and outside
- Ensuring continuity within the board and ultimately responsible
for the agenda of board meetings.

What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
We are looking for a chairman with proven experience or potential in governing
medium-sized organisations. We require around 5 hours per week from you in terms of workload. You have a higher working and thinking level and are mobile within the whole of the Netherlands. Familiarity with the specific characteristics of voluntary organisations is an advantage. Furthermore, you are creative, solution-oriented and familiar with modern communication tools and systems. A certificate of good conduct must be submitted.

- Diplomatic and able to encourage people by getting everyone's input
- Discreet and able to deal with tension and 'difficult people'.
- Can perform the function independently, without constantly having to rely on others.
- Able to work in situations without sharply defined boundaries.
