To hear and help every victim, that is our mission. Slachtofferhulp Nederland offers practical, legal and psychosocial support to victims and survivors. We do so throughout the country from a large team of highly motivated volunteers, paid professionals and trainees who gain knowledge and, more than once, continue to work for victims after their traineeship.
Become a volunteer
We offer help and support to victims after a crime, accident and calamity. As a volunteer with Slachtofferhulp Nederland, you provide practical, emotional or legal support to victims and help them pick up their lives again.
Assist victims to pick up daily life
- You will have contact with victims at one of our locations or visit them at home;
- You listen to them and give advice on how to deal with the consequences of what has happened to them;
What does the organisation offer the volunteer?
- Training at the Victim Support Academy in Utrecht
- A mentor in the workplace
What does the organisation ask of the volunteer?
- Employable for a minimum of 8 hours
- HBO work and thinking level
- Speaking and writing Dutch is a requirement
