The animal ambulance transports sick, injured or dead animals. The animal ambulance also offers the possibility to transport private animals to the vet. For example, when people have difficulty walking or because they are unable to transport their pets themselves for other reasons. To work as a volunteer at the animal ambulance requires more than a lot of animal love and some free time. You experience many diverse things, fun but also often shocking things, which requires you to be strong in your shoes precisely as a big animal lover. It is beautiful work and you get the chance to learn a lot. The Leeuwarden Animal Ambulance is looking for drivers who want to drive for the animal ambulance one or more evenings and/or nights a week.

With a number of enthusiastic and committed volunteers, activities are carried out in the neighbourhood for adults of all ages and backgrounds. De Stadskantine hosts monthly restaurant nights in four Leeuwarden neighbourhoods. Guests get a healthy and nutritious three-course meal for € 8.00 and a lot of fun. Connecting people through good food is the main goal of the Stadskantine. Many friendships have already been made at the Stammtafels. The evenings are open to everyone, and we do our utmost to be a nice place for all guests. The City Canteen is a partnership between the City Canteen Foundation and Amaryllis. At every restaurant night, support is provided by professionals from Amaryllis. Partly because of this, we are a very colourful and close-knit City Canteen family. As a chef at The City Canteen, you will devise the menu together with your location colleagues. We serve our visitors a three-course dinner at a budget price. You will cook as much as possible with fresh ingredients (meat and vegetarian menu) You are supported by volunteer kitchen staff and hosts or hostesses who serve the food. You manage the activities in the kitchen. This is broad in terms of responsibilities: Preparing purchases and sending out the volunteers, planning the work and supervising mis en place, preparing the dishes together, cooperating with head waiters in the restaurant and ensuring hygiene in the kitchen. Locations are Aldlan, 't knooppunt, Ruiterskwartier and Westeinde. Choice of location is by mutual agreement.
