In the good old days, supermarkets were small, cosy grocery stores where the cash register actually rang and groceries passed over the counter in paper cone bags. In the heart of Leeuwarden, such an authentic grocery shop still exists, housed in a seventeenth-century building. From Tuesday to Sunday, the Grutterswinkel comes back to life, with hostesses/gentlemen walking around to welcome the many visitors. Visitors can take a look inside the Grutterswinkel, buy products from the past and enjoy a piece of orange cake and/or real Fryske Dúmkes. For this museum with its busy coffee room, we are looking for hostesses and gentlemen for at least two half-days a month. The work includes catering and telling the story of Leeuwarden and the Grutterswinkel to our visitors. The visitors are mainly tourists. Everyone should be able to be themselves. That is what COC Friesland has been working for for decades. Whether it is about young people being educated at school, older people finding a safe meeting place or standing up for equal rights: together we build a mienskip in which LGBTQIA+ people can participate fully and visibly. That work requires not only passion and commitment, but also a solid financial basis. That is why we are looking for a General Board member with the funds portfolio: someone who will help find the resources with which the association can achieve its goals.What will you do?As Board member funds, you are the financial engine behind our projects and initiatives. You are involved in fundraising at, among others, the Oranjefonds, Blauwe Fonds, Bob Angelo Fonds and the Iepen Mienskipsfûns. You write and submit grant applications and ensure clear and careful justification. You work closely with the treasurer and the office manager to keep COC Friesland financially strong and future-proof. You think along with the board about the direction and development of the association. Who are we looking for? You feel connected to our mission and have a strong affinity with the LGBTQA+ community. You have fundraising experience or the drive to learn. You enjoy giving financial advice. You are conscientious and take transparency for granted. You are someone who gets energy from cooperation, but also takes initiative. Experience with project-based work is an advantage. Support Day Care Dementia At Young Age

For our day care for young people with dementia in Hardegarijp, we are looking for volunteers who like to be active! The 6 participants are +/between 55 and 75 years old and after a common start, while enjoying a cup of coffee, they will go cycling with staff, volunteers or other participant(s) on the duo-bike, walking, gardening, painting or woodworking. For this, we use a weekly schedule for support. Are you available for a few hours once a week and do you feel comfortable with any of the above activities? Then we are looking for you!

all-round colleague maintenance in a special place

The Vitushof in Leeuwaren is a cemetery with a long history. Originally the place where Catholic Leeuwarden buried its deceased. Nowadays it is a general cemetery. But it remains a special place in Leeuwarden. A park to find peace, commemorate and contemplate or just walk through and enjoy. Maintenance of the court is in the hands of a professional caretaker assisted by a small team of volunteers. The greenery in the park requires a lot of attention but the maintenance of the monuments is also an important task. The team ensures that the Vitushof is a worthy place of remembrance, a pleasant walking spot for local residents and an interesting place for those interested in Leeuwarden's history. The maintenance team could use reinforcement from an all-round colleague who can assist with greenery and monument maintenance. Work can take place by mutual agreement. Do you enjoy being outside in nature and are you a bit handy? Are you looking for a fun, healthy and interesting activity?
