Everyone should be able to be themselves. That is what COC Friesland has been working for for decades. Whether it is about young people being educated at school, older people finding a safe meeting place or standing up for equal rights: together we build a mienskip in which LGBTQIA+ people can participate fully and visibly. That work requires not only passion and commitment, but also a solid financial basis. That is why we are looking for a General Board member with the funds portfolio: someone who will help find the resources with which the association can achieve its goals.What will you do?As Board member funds, you are the financial engine behind our projects and initiatives. You are involved in fundraising at, among others, the Oranjefonds, Blauwe Fonds, Bob Angelo Fonds and the Iepen Mienskipsfûns. You write and submit grant applications and ensure clear and careful justification. You work closely with the treasurer and the office manager to keep COC Friesland financially strong and future-proof. You think along with the board about the direction and development of the association. Who are we looking for? You feel connected to our mission and have a strong affinity with the LGBTQA+ community. You have fundraising experience or the drive to learn. You enjoy giving financial advice. You are conscientious and take transparency for granted. You are someone who gets energy from cooperation, but also takes initiative. Experience with project-based work is an advantage. In the good old days, supermarkets were small, cosy grocery stores where the cash register actually rang and groceries passed over the counter in paper cone bags. In the heart of Leeuwarden, such an authentic grocery shop still exists, housed in a seventeenth-century building. From Tuesday to Sunday, the Grutterswinkel comes back to life, with hostesses/gentlemen walking around to welcome the many visitors. Visitors can take a look inside the Grutterswinkel, buy products from the past and enjoy a piece of orange cake and/or real Fryske Dúmkes. For this museum with its busy coffee room, we are looking for hostesses and gentlemen for at least two half-days a month. The work includes catering and telling the story of Leeuwarden and the Grutterswinkel to our visitors. The visitors are mainly tourists. As a language buddy, you help adults learn basic Dutch; - This involves the first introduction to the Dutch language. - The groups are divided by level. - You can decide which form of teaching and which level you prefer.

Supervisor youth group Sneek - COC Friesland

Help build a safe and welcoming place for LGBTQA+ youth and young adults in Sneek! What is the meeting group in Sneek?COC Friesland has started a new meeting place for LGBTQA+ young people aged 12 to 26. This group is a combination of Jong&Out (12-18 years old) and Expreszo (18-26 years old). The first meetings have already taken place and the group is gradually growing into a permanent place where young people can meet, have fun and be themselves. What will you do?As a facilitator, together with fellow volunteers, you are the first point of contact for the group. You: organise and supervise activities together with other volunteers; ensure a safe and inclusive atmosphere during meetings; answer young people's questions, or make referrals where necessary; work with the coordinator providing support and guidance. Who are you? You have an affinity with LGBTQA+ young people and/or experience working with young people. You are creative and enjoy thinking up and carrying out activities. You are approachable and use clear and simple language. You can structure a group and maintain the balance between closeness and professional distance. You have the time and energy to dedicate on average 8 hours a month. Above all, you are eager to contribute to a warm and safe place for LGBTQA+ young people in Sneek and its surroundings. Supervisor of children's activities

From Solidair Friesland, we provide various activities for the residents of Ukrainian emergency shelter locations. Within the municipality of Leeuwarden, there are four emergency shelter locations, where there is still a lot of new inflow. We offer activities for these people, including children's activities. We offer the activities to provide a safe place on life in the emergency shelters. We naturally want to be able to offer the children this as often as possible, which is why we are looking for more volunteers! Tasks: Picking up and recruiting the target group Keeping an overview during the activity Supervising during the activity Preparing the activity Writing reports and having a signalling role in this The activities can range from crafts, sports, games or, for example, supervising a play corner. Here, we look closely at what the children's needs are. We also look at the talents and skills of our volunteers!

Do you like being creative and do you enjoy doing this together with elderly people? Then you are the volunteer we are looking for! Elderly people with dementia live in the Van Harenshuus in Sint Annaparochie, and being creative is especially fun and important for them. That is why we are looking for a volunteer who wants to do something creative together with one or more residents. Examples include handicrafts, painting or crafts. Besides being creative, it is especially important that there is a cosy atmosphere. There is plenty of time and space to chat and have a cup of coffee or tea together.
