Working group member activities nature and sustainability
The activities working group organises excursions, workshops, lectures in the field of nature and sustainability. The activities are open to both IVN members and non-members. The target group is usually adults and sometimes an activity is also suitable for families or the disabled.
In addition to the aforementioned activities, new activities are also welcome. Think of a film evening, bike ride, mindfull walk, litter-clearing action, etc.
Sita Bakker is coordinator of the working group. Workgroup member Esther Dijkstra will stop organising activities for the time being, but can help induction/advice.
DO YOU HAVE A CLICK WITH NATURE and want to help people experience how fun, educational, healthy and important nature is?
Then join the working group and organise the activities that interest you and that you want to put on the map! You will usually attend the activity yourself, so you can meet other nature lovers and get the chance to experience nature and learn a thing or two.
There is a scenario with agreements, tips, preconditions and all kinds of things to think about
Departmental members, your coordinator or board members will give you tips for an activity or you can do your own research.
You arrange a speaker, excursion leader and sometimes a room. You write an advertising text and look for suitable photos for the IVN website, annual programme booklet, digital newsletter, social media and sometimes also local media. If necessary, you make a poster and distribute it at locations suitable for the topic. You sometimes mail invitations for your activity to organisations suitable for the topic.
You arrange registrations and if relevant a carpool. (for lectures, dbieb arranges the registrations)
You make a (photo) report of the activity for publication in the newsletter/social media or ask one of the participants to do so.
You report the final number of participants to the secretary.
You do all this from behind your own PC/laptop and at times that suit you best.
An IVN membership is not required for this voluntary function.
