Leeuwarden Social Food Gardens Foundation
Foundation Social Food Gardens Leeuwarden grows unsprayed vegetables, fruit potatoes and herbs for households in Leeuwarden living on minimum income. We do this at two locations: On Schieringerweg and at Toffe Peer on Egelantiersstraat in Leeuwarden East.
We invite families to come and harvest for themselves, and in addition, our harvest goes to the food bank and community centres. This is how we make healthy food accessible to all.
We work in harmony with nature: without artificial fertilisers or pesticides, paying attention to biodiversity.
Our gardens are places for meeting, social participation and food education. We enjoy working with volunteers, organising activities for children and young people in the garden and sharing recipes and tips for making healthy, budget-friendly meals with the vegetables.
No activities and services are available for this organisation.
