More and more people are struggling with their finances. Can no longer manage on their own and get into debt. They need someone who thinks with them, provides practical help and encouragement. A buddy who doesn't start talking about "your own fault, your own fault", but listens patiently when they talk about their worries. Are you that committed buddy?

Why SchuldHulpMaatje?
Those with (imminent) debts rarely get out on their own. That's when you extend a helping hand, right? Every person deserves a new chance. We call this charity and base it on biblical values. If that appeals to you, you understand our vision. SchuldHulpMaatje offers expert support and guidance by volunteers to people with financial problems. This is supportive of the input of professionals.

Debt Help Mate. Something for you?
A buddy helps put one's money affairs in order. And how to keep them in order! It is important that a buddy gives personal attention and can motivate you to persevere when things get difficult. Together we succeed, that is our starting point. And with success. All over the country, people manage to stay debt-free after help from a buddy. You make the difference! Are you interested? During our buddy nights, mutual experiences are exchanged. That way, you learn from each other and someone else can learn from you. At these evenings, we regularly have a guest speaker from organisations you meet in the work field. Examples include CJIB, Kredietbank Nederland, a protection administrator, a health insurer, etc.

SchuldHulpMaatje invests in you. You take part in the three-day buddy training. This takes place on three different days, not consecutive. There is also the annual in-service training via e-learning.

• The opportunity to use your knowledge to help people with financial problems solve them. Helping them become self-reliant (again).
• We expect you to be able to commit to SchuldHulpMaatje for at least two years. Many volunteers have been with us for much longer. We hope you will be one of them.
• You are the confidant of someone in a vulnerable position

• You are willing to make structural time available
• You want to attend the three-day buddy training and annual refresher training with e-learning
