Humanitas Life Story Coordinator

Humanitas volunteers offer assistance in creating a life book, from writing to printing. As a coordinator, you will conduct intake interviews with participants and match participants with volunteers. Do you enjoy talking to participants to find out what they want and need? Are you interested in guiding volunteers in their contact with participants?

Humanitas Life Story is for anyone who wants to put their life story on paper but is unable or unwilling to write it themselves. A volunteer with writing experience helps to articulate and write the participant's story. The volunteer also ensures that the story is printed. By recounting and recording their experiences, participants can share them with their family and friends. It also helps them to process life events.

What will you do?

•  You conduct intake interviews with people who are interested in recording their life stories.
• ·You ensure a good match between volunteers and those seeking assistance.
• You are the first point of contact for volunteers.

• Appropriate training courses and meetings
• An enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of volunteers

• You are independent, sociable, proactive and flexible.
• You are a good listener and have strong empathy skills.
• You have basic computer skills.
• You are available for approximately half a day per week.
