Volunteer Language buddy

Description
Language is important for finding your way in the Netherlands. In Taalmaatjes, you support a non-native participant in practising the Dutch language one-to-one every week. The main focus is on practical speaking skills and the participant's learning goal.
The contact moments can take place at the participant's home, outside or in a public space, e.g. a library, or situations from the participant's daily life.
As a language couple, you can also take trips to put the language into practice.
By talking to each other a lot, the participant practices the Dutch language and participant and language buddy also get to know each other's culture.
With 1 hour a week, you can make a difference to a non-native resident.
