Host/hostess consultation hour Vrijheidswijk

At the (financial) consultation hour in Multifunctional Centre (MFC) Het Mozaïek in the Vrijheidswijk, residents can ask all kinds of questions about living, working and welfare. As hostess or host, you welcome residents with a cup of coffee or tea. You will ask about the request for help and refer residents to the organisations present: the Neighbourhood Service Point, Humanitas or the Amaryllis Social District Team. The consultation hours are on: Tuesday, 10.00-12.00: General consultation hours Wednesday, 09.30-12.00: Financial consultations Thursday, 13.00-15.00: General consultation hour We are preferably looking for volunteers who are available at least two days a week. Preference is given to someone who does not live in the Vrijheidswijk. Besides Dutch, it would be nice if you speak several languages, such as English, Papiamento or Spanish.

Together, you work towards one goal: giving people with a physical disability an unforgettable time. The Leeuwarden East division has 90 guests and 30 volunteers. The tasks include Together with the chairman, prepare the meetings and prepare/dispatch the agenda. Make a report of the meetings and send it. Monitoring action points. Handling mail (digitally). Arranging printing, placing advertisements and Zonnebloem articles. You ensure follow-up of working agreements and compliance with statutes, internal regulations and other agreements made within the association.

Homestay kittens animal shelter

Every year, many kittens arrive at Dierenopvang de Wissel. Naturally, we want them to grow up as healthy and stable as possible. Therefore, we are urgently looking for people who can offer these kittens a good start in life. We have several possibilities, it could be a litter with a mother, which therefore only need a lot of love and normal care. But also kittens without a mother, real bottle kittens, feral cats that need to be socialised and all other kittens that come in and need a good home. The kittens stay in the foster home until they are ten weeks old, and in the meantime they are vaccinated, de-flead and de-wormed, micro-chipped and checked by the vet. All resources for this, as well as food, grit, etc. are provided by the shelter.
